Global LNG Info releases its Global LNG Database’s update (UP: Mar. 2021)

By adding new LNG projects around the world and changing status of some projects, up-to-date and perfect information of 446 LNG projects in the world are available in the Global LNG Database®
Global LNG Info has recently released the latest update of the Global LNG Database®. By adding new LNG projects around the world and changing status of some projects, up-to-date and perfect information of 446 LNG projects in the world are available in the Global LNG Database® including 139 on/offshore liquefaction facilities (on-stream: 53, under-construction: 13, planned: 52, under-study/proposed: 21) and also 308 on/offshore receiving & regasification facilities (on-stream: 147, under-construction: 52, planned: 84, under-study/proposed: 25).

 

Some summarized recent developments quoted from the Global LNG Database®:

 

* Venture Global offered at least 12 LNG cargoes for loading between Oct. 2021 and Dec. 2022 from its Calcasieu Pass LNG export project...

 

* Oil Search suggests that Total is targeting entering the Papua LNG project’s FEED phase in 2022 as the “project development schedule is targeting the delivery of LNG volumes into the market window when additional supply is forecast to be required.”

 

* Pembina has written down the assets for the Jordan Cove LNG export project in Oregon as at least for now, it is not in a position to predict if the project will move forward...

 

* Tortue Ahmeyim floating LNG project (phase1) in Mauritania and Senegal is planned to be 80% completed by the end of 2021...

 

* The first LNG cargo from the Damietta LNG plant has been loaded. This is the first LNG cargo produced by the plant after it was shut down in 2012. The cargo which was loaded onboard the Golar Glacier tanker expected to be delivered to Moheshkhali, Bangladesh...

 

* Coastal GasLink pipeline project which will supply LNG Canada with feedgas, may face delays and cost increases as its builder TC Energy has warned the project is likely to suffer delays and “significant” cost increases “due to scope increases, permit delays and the impacts from COVID-19, including the provincial health order.”...

 

* Woodside said that “the decisions to defer the targeted final investment decision (FID) on our Scarborough and Pluto Train 2 developments and the review of the value of our assets were appropriate responses to extraordinary market uncertainty caused by the pandemic and lower oil and gas prices.”...

 

* Petronas-operated second Floating LNG facility (PFLNG Dua) produced its “First Drop of LNG production”. The FLNG is expected to deliver its first LNG cargo to customers by the middle of March 2021.

 

* Pile foundation of the first 200,000-CM LNG storage tank at the Yantai LNG receiving terminal has been completed, setting a record in China for the shortest construction period of a single LNG storage tank pile foundation...

 

* Hanseatic Energy Hub (HEH) announced the “successful completion of the non-binding phase of the Open Season with confirmed market interest from global players supporting the planned capacity of the terminal”...

 

* Western Gas is looking domestic buyers in WA (i.e. petrochemicals industry) and also the NWS LNG plant to find a market for its Equus gas field...

 

* Santos said that Barossa LNG project remains on-track for a FID in the first half of 2021.

 

* FID taken for the Zeebrugge LNG terminal additional regasification capacity as the “Open Season” for additional regasification capacity at the terminal has “successfully been closed”...

 

* Saipem has accomplished lifting of the roof of first tank for Nong Fab regasification terminal...

 

* Adriatic LNG has launched a consultation for the auctioning of a potential 153 BCM of regasification capacity over the next 25 years.
