Mc Dermott and its partner Chiyoda, the contractors JV for the Golden Pass LNG project in Texas, have continued to progress work on the project and also discuss amending the contract cost for the project’s second and third trains (T2&3).

 

The contractors have not yet concluded a final settlement for the project’s (T2&3) revised cost, however the Japanese firm said that they has “signed a binding term sheet addressing the key component of an agreement” for completion of the T2&3.

 

In November 2024, the project’s EPC contractors agreed to amend the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract and associated commercial terms for the completion of the full scope for the under-construction project’s first train.
