Qatar’s North Field East (NFE) LNG project’s construction is 85% complete as it is expected to commence operation in 2026.
The project aimed to add 32 MMT/Y to the Qatari LNG production capacity in the Qatar Energy’s Ras Laffan gas liquefaction complex.
According to the
Global LNG Database®, EPC (engineering, procumbent and construction) contracts for the NFE LNG project’s on-shore facilities awarded to Chiyoda and Technip Energies (CTJV).
McDermott is the main EPC contractor for the project’s upstream section (topsides, jackets, pipelines, and subsea cables). The US-based engineering company has also performed the project’s FEED work.
