The Nigerian LNG plant's seventh train construction and existing LNG trains' debottlenecking project is 80% complete as it is expected to commence operation in 2027.
The Nigerian LNG plant’s seventh train construction and existing LNG trains’ debottlenecking project is 80% complete as it is expected to commence operation in 2027.

 

The project aimed to add 7.6 MMT/Y to the Nigerian LNG production capacity in Bonny Island complex.

 

According to the Global LNG Database®, the NLNG T7 and debottlenecking project’s EPC (engineering, procumbent and construction) contracts awarded to the SCD JV consortium (Saipem (leader), Daewoo, and Chiyoda).
The project’s construction started in 2021.

 

NNPC has recently signed agreements with Shell and other domestic companies to supply 1.29 BCF/D of gas to the Bonny LNG plant for 20 years, “in a major boost to regular gas supplies to the plant”.
