* Qatar’s share in the global LNG market reduced from 26.7% in 2017 to 24.3% in 2018 while Australian market share increased from 19.2% to more than 21.7%.
* USA’s share in the global LNG market jumped from 4% in 2017 to more than 6.8% in 2018.
* According to the primary assessment, global LNG trade reached 318 MMT in 2018, increasing by 32 MMT or 10.5% compared to the previous year, the strongest growth rate since 2010.
* Cameroon joined the LNG producing community in 2018 as the numbers of exporting countries reach 19 and;
* Bangladesh and Panama joined LNG importing countries club in 2018, bringing the total number of importing countries to 41, according to the Global LNG Database ®
