Global LNG Info released the World LNG Projects Status update report - June 2020

Global LNG Info has released the last update of the “World LNG Projects’ Status Monthly Report” also known as the globally-recognized-reference “World LNG Liquefaction Plants and Regasification Terminals Update List”.
Global LNG Info has released the last update of the “World LNG Projects’ Status Monthly Report” also known as the globally-recognized-reference “World LNG Liquefaction Plants and Regasification Terminals Update List”.

The following LNG project added to the Global LNG Database®:

|

*Longkou Nanshan (Yantai) LNG imports terminal project (phase 2) in China

|

By adding the new project(s), up-to-date information of 410 LNG projects in the world are available in the Global LNG Database® including 140 on/offshore liquefaction facilities (on-stream: 53, under-construction: 14, planned: 51, under-study/proposed: 22) and also 270 on/offshore receiving & regasification facilities (on-stream: 143, under-construction: 29, planned: 78, under-study/proposed: 20).

Some recent developments added to the Global LNG Database®:

|

* Freeport LNG has begun commercial operations for its third liquefaction train with the commencement of liquefaction services to Total and SK E&S under their tolling agreements with the company.

|

* Sempra Energy has delayed until next year a FID on the Port Arthur LNG export project because of weak international gas prices and challenges in securing sufficient LNG sales agreements. The FID had previously been targeted for the third quarter of 2020.

|

* NextDecade has admitted that market disruptions from the coronavirus pandemic could further delay a final investment decision on its Rio Grande LNG export project.

|

* Nigerian LNG has awarded EPC contracts to a Saipem-led SCD JV consortium (Saipem 60%, Daewoo, and Chiyoda) for the NLNG Train 7 project. The value of the overall contracts is valued at $4 billion.

|

* China’s National Petroleum and Natural Gas Pipeline Network Group (PipeChina) has initiated construction works for its maiden LNG import terminal in Yantai city, Shandong province.

|

* Cameron LNG has begun producing LNG from its third and final liquefaction train as commercial operations for Train 3 under Cameron LNG's tolling agreements remain on track to begin in the third quarter of 2020.

|

* The US FERC has approved construction and operation of Alaska Gasline Development Corp’s proposed LNG export project.
