The operator has also remarked that it plans to expand CP2 project (namely CP3), which is in the development stage and is expected to have an export capacity of at least 30 MMT/Y nearby the CP2.
According to the Global LNG Database®, Venture Global has already completed significant engineering and environmental studies and simulations, including certain marine berth simulations, in support of the project.
The operator is in the development and siting process to optimize the plans for a pipeline to support the CP3 project.
“In December 2024, we completed our initial consultation with FERC. CP3 anticipates completing the pre-filing process and filing its formal application with FERC in 2025.”
