With early procurement and equipment fabrication already underway, the EPC consortium led by TechnipEnergies, alongside JGC and NPCC, is maintaining disciplined execution across all work fronts.
According to the
Global LNG Database®, ADNOC took FID on the project in June 2024, reinforcing its commitment to expanding next-generation LNG capacity.
Located in Al Ruwais Industrial City, Abu Dhabi, Ruwais LNG is designed to be one of the world’s lowest-carbon-intensity LNG plants, powered by electric-driven motors instead of conventional gas turbines.
The project’s FEED was delivered by McDermott International.
With over 90% of volumes already contracted, Ruwais LNG continues to strengthen market confidence in ADNOC’s long-term LNG strategy and the UAE’s role in supplying lower-carbon LNG to global buyers.
